SCARLETRED is honored to be featured in the dermatology-focused professional journal DermaForum - published by mgo medizin. The scientific article was additionally published in a print run of 6.500 copies.

Scarletred® has achieved an AI approach for standardized, quantitative profiling of rosacea severity beyond visible redness.

In their recently published article, the authors Chiara Agostini, Monika Molnarova, Dr. Martin Schaller and Harald Schnidar examined the AI-driven imaging approach to objectively and quantitatively assess rosacea severity.

Within their study, they analyzed standardized facial images and multiple morphological markers over time. The method aims to move beyond subjective visual grading and provide a reproducible framework for monitoring rosacea in clinical practice and research.

Chiara Agostini, MSc., Data Scientist, explains:

“With this work, our aim was to move beyond Subjective visual grading and provide dermatologists with an objective, standardized tool for assessing rosacea severity. Our AI-derived morphological biomarkers may support future digital endpoints in clinical trials and enable more personalized treatment strategies.”

The analysis was powered by the Scarletred® ARORA®AI Agent, coordinating image preprocessing, automated feature extraction, and longitudinal pattern analysis.

“Our results demonstrate the potential of AI-enhanced facial imaging as a standardized, automated and reproducible framework for rosacea assessment, paving the way toward more personalized and data-driven dermatological care”, as says the authors’ conclusion.
